WHAT IS D.I.A.L. D.I.A.L. is a telephone service offering information and advice to disabled people on all aspects of daily living. Great Yarmouth D.I.A.L. was formed in April 1985.

WHO CAN USE IT? D.I.A.L. is run by trained volunteers who are themselves disabled or have close contact and experience of the problems faced by disabled people. Information is freely given on Housing, Welfare Rights, local sources of voluntary help and many other problems, D.I.A.L. has been set up to work alongside professional agencies such as Social Services and Housing Departments to supplement the help given by these agencies and to provide a readily available source of specialist expertise in the area of disability rights.

WHO DOES IT HELP? Referrals are welcome from all agencies in the area and if, as a voluntary or professional worker or as an individual, you know of ANYONE who migh need our help, please ask them to contact us or get in touch yourself. D.I.A.L. will be happy to deal with enquiries from the Great Yarmouth are, including filling in benefit forms.

HOW IS IT AVAILABLE? Our service is confidential and we can be contacted by telephone, letter or personal visit as our office is fully accessible to wheelchair users. Please feel free to contact us during office hours or visit. We are also at the James Paget Hospital on every alternate Thursday.

24 hour answering service
Wheelchairs available on loan for a small charge.

WE ARE ALWAYS GRATEFUL FOR
DONATIONS TO HELP WITH THE
RUNNING COSTS, AND THESE CAN BE
SENT TO THE D.I.A.L. OFFICE
